Join me for a 1-1 day of drawing exploration in my private studio in Ipswich, Suffolk. Learn about my artwork and creative processes, gain insights into the inspirations behind my work and discover how I have turned my passion into a career. Observe me at work, and draw alongside me, with as much guidance as you need.
We will experiment with mixed media to explore compositional structure, colour harmonies, and the interaction between objects and the studio environment. This fast-paced drawing day is designed to revitalise experienced artists and instil confidence in beginners.
We will start promptly at 10 am with wet and dry media exercises before a break at 11:30 am. Afterward, we'll delve into rigorous drawing before lunch. We resume at 2:15 pm for a final hour and a half of development, finishing at 3:45 pm. You'll leave with your creation/s and brimming with ideas and inspiration for the future.
All materials, tea, coffee, and snacks will be provided, a light vegan lunch included, or bring a packed lunch if you prefer; all you need to do is wear some old clothes that you don't mind getting mucky. You'll have me and my studio to yourself to observe how I approach drawing still life using a range of mixed media. You can feel free to ask questions about my journey as an artist working with galleries and on social media.
